Frequently asked questions

Though an occasional wash in a dishwasher will most likely not harm the pieces, dishwashers tend to shorten the life of the works as the heating/cooling cycles and many detergents can wear on the glaze and clay bodies. There also tends to be calcium build up that will be visible after several washes. I recommend hand washing the pieces for longevity and ultimate enjoyment of the works.

I strive to make sure all the surfaces that touch food are safe and should not leach any harmful chemicals into food and drink. If there is ever any question in my mind about the safety of a specific piece I will be sure and note the details in the item description.
